Maldives? Nay! These are the Spiagge Bianche di Rosignano Solvay (White beaches of Rosignano Solvay).
The unusual colour of the sand, main reason why the beach is compared to the tropical beaches, is a consequence of years of work and processing wastes of calcium carbonate from the Solvay factory located in Rosignano Solvay, about 1km far from the coast.
Nevertheless this stretch of coast has been awarded with the "blue flag" and the White Beaches remain one of the most popular seaside destination in Tuscany.

HALLOWEEN
Near Ponte del Diavolo (Lucca) , the fun during the Halloween night is guaranteed.
It is said that the builder of this bridge, panicking because he couldn't finish the project, started to chant sacrileges that evocated the devil himself. The Devil promised to help the man in one night only if he could take the soul of the first being that crossed the bridge. The man rushed to the local priest who told him to make a dog cross the bridge, and thats what he did. The devil, fourious, took the dog and flew with it in the water and was not seen anymore. Legend has it, at the end of October the devil disguised as a white dog can be seen crossing the bridge looking for the soul of the builder. It is also said that it is possible to see the petrified corpse of the poor dog on the bottom of the river.
